An interesting array of classes that allow you and your dog to bond, learn a new sport, show in the conformation ring, or just have fun while learning some new skills. Not all classes are given each session. Check the schedule online each session to see what's being given.

AKC Fast Cat Trial Events

Fast CAT® – which stands for Coursing Ability Test – is a timed 100-yard dash where dogs run one at a time, chasing a lure. It's over before you know it — and it's nothing short of awe-inspiring to watch your dog run at top speed, ears back, eyes focused, legs strong. Watch for PCOTC sponsored off site trials listed under List of Events.

Your dogs do obedience and agility for you. We do Frisbee for them. Dogs smile when they chase a Frisbee. So learn how to do it! Learn how to throw safely and how not to frustrate your furry friend with that "skunky" toss. Turn your dog into a Frisbee monster.

Prerequisites: A dog that will chase or tug something, and a reasonably decent recall.

Flyball is a fast-paced canine team sport, perfect for dogs that love tennis balls. Teams will have a basic introduction to the sport, including use of the flyball box and jumping a series of hurdles. Dogs must be reliable off-leash around other dogs and have a solid recall.

Cooperative care is quickly becoming a desired skill for pups to have by pet parents, groomers, and vets alike. Cooperative care involves training an animal to not only tolerate handling and husbandry procedures, but also to be an active, willing participant in these experiences. This class will introduce nail trims, grooming techniques, and more.

Does your dog love to Fetch? Did you know the AKC has a new titling option for dogs that love to retrieve? In this class, dogs will learn to retrieve AKC Fetch appropriate items, work on impulse control, and delivery to hand skills. Teams will learn the ins and outs of AKC's new Fetch titling program and practice realistic Novice level setups.

Teams should be comfortable resting in a crate while waiting their turn.

Prerequisite: FM Foundation

The goal of the four 1-hour session class is to teach you and your dog how to safely throw and catch a flying disc.  The main focus is teaching handlers to throw accurately, and working out any problems with starts, catches or returns. A simple, time-tested program is used to help each handler throw consistently and, more importantly, safely. A step-by-step program is also used to introduce the disc to your dog, develop drive for the disc, and turn the furry member of your team into a disc catching superstar.

The four hour-long sessions will cover the tools of the trade (which discs to use), a throwing program for the handler, and a method to teach your dog to catch safely and reliably along with catching on the flanks and on a circle. By the end of the seminar you will be able to enjoy a friendly catch, and play some really neat games with your dog. 

Dogs must be able to fetch toys/balls/discs.  Dogs must be comfortable working in a group class.  One working team will be on the floor at a time.  Dogs should be comfortable in crates while other dogs are working.  A competition quality disc will be provided to each team. So that each team gets their fair share of floor time dogs must have a solid recall (no zoomies).

Bring your buddy, and his favorite disc &/or toys. We will also give 2 FREE competition grade discs to everyone!!! Dress comfortably and be prepared to smile a lot......

ENROLLMENT LIMIT: 6 Teams.

 We will build on the skills learned in Intro to Disc Dog and will learn the games people are playing with their dogs. Games will cover Distance & Accuracy, Time Warp, Bullseye, 4 way play, Spot Landing and Spaced Out.
